SHE once said she had written her will dozens of times, adding new friends and deleting those who passed away. Now the late Maeve Binchy’s final draft has been revealed.
Ireland’s most successful author, who sold 40m books over 30 years, left an estate valued at €10m when she died in 2012. Her will, filed in the Dublin probate office last week, shows she left a third of her fortune to a large collection of friends, charities and a golf club, with the remaining two-thirds going to her husband, Gordon Snell.
