The Naxi/Tibetan idea of beauty is different from the rest of the world. While most of us think that having pasty white skin and an emanciapted body are hallmarks of beauty, the Naxi think that we're nuts. A typical Naxi Beauty is as plump as a dumpling and tanned as leather. And so are the men. In fact, it's very flattering to call a young lady pang-jin-mei (fat gold sister). Same goes for the men. Fat Bastard will not feel out of place over here since he'll be called pang-jin-ge(fat gold brother).
